This page is to help you find out about access to different parts of Cornwall. As we are all a where access to certain places can be very difficult. We hope this will be of some help when coming to Cornwall. The Coombes, the main street down into the village from the car park - Radar Lock* (If you don't have a key, you can be borrowed from the shop Arty Fawty, which is a few yards further down on the left.) Polperro Age Concern meet on Tuesdays in the Village Hall and there is access to a disabled toilet there when they are meeting. Polperro Methodist Chapel in Fore Street open most Tuesdays as a "drop in centre". Disabled toilets available. Widemouth Near Bude - Beach car park

Polperro Wheelchairs are available on short term loan for day visitors, or if you are staying for a longer period, then this can be accommodated. You are advised to telephone before your visit, so that one can be reserved for you. Thomas's The Newsagents in the centre of the village hold two portable wheelchairs. Contact Brenda Thomas on 01503 272286. Age Concern has a portable wheelchair at the Village Hall, at the top of the village (towards the car park). Contact Betty Turner on 01503 272659. A wheel chair is also available on a daily basis - telephone Jean Hubbard on 01503 272756. These wheelchairs are available free of charge, but donations would be appreciated, which will go towards the costs of their maintenance. |
