This page is to help you find out about access to different parts of Cornwall. As we are all a where access to certain places can be very difficult. We hope this will be of some help when coming to Cornwall. Polperro Age Concern meet on Tuesdays in the Village Hall and there is access to a disabled toilet there when they are meeting.

Polperro Methodist Chapel in Fore Street open most Tuesdays as a "drop in centre". Disabled toilets available.

Wheelchair access from Summerleaze Car Park to Mentone Quarry for views of Harbour

The footpath from Summerleaze car park to the swimming pool and on to Crooklets beach and car park, for Sea and Harbour views.

Level Walks For Wheelchairs

Canal side walk Bude	Walk form the Bencoolen Bridge to the sea lock gates and back. With Harbour and Sea views.
Boscastle	Walk from the car park to the Harbour.
Polperro	The road from the main car park into the village itself - and to the harbour and sea - is a long gentle slope. But remember that the other way - going back - is quite a long steady climb. There is a horse bus and a shuttle bus service, either of which you can use to go one way, or the other, or both. But bear in mind that these services stop part way through the evenings - if you will need to use one of the bus services to go back to the car park, don't forget to check what time the service will be ceasing.

Wheelchairs are available on short term loan for day visitors, or if you are staying for a longer period, then this can be accommodated. You are advised to telephone before your visit, so that one can be reserved for you.

Thomas's The Newsagents in the centre of the village hold two portable wheelchairs. Contact Brenda Thomas on 01503 272286.

Age Concern has a portable wheelchair at the Village Hall, at the top of the village (towards the car park). Contact Betty Turner on 01503 272659.

A wheel chair is also available on a daily basis - telephone Jean Hubbard on 01503 272756.

These wheelchairs are available free of charge, but donations would be appreciated, which will go towards the costs of their maintenance.
